Mahin is the Head of Financial Engineering at 15Rock. He is responsible for analytics and research and building our robust suite of Financial-Carbon Models. He utilizes bleeding edge, state-of-the-art financial models and apply them to environmental science to help the planet reach its net-zero carbon emission goals.
Prior to 15Rock, Mahin created an ESG Credit Risk Assessment Scoring Model for a major global bank, the model utilized over 200 qualitative and quantitative data sets. He automated their ESG risk assessment process, integrating it into the bank's global credit risk model.
Mahin also worked within investment research at an international private equity fund and was quickly promoted from analyst to associate, leading a team of analysts. His research contributed towards identifying the biggest deal in the company's history.
He is deeply experienced in writing and implementing trading and hedging algorithms, preparing risk models and predictive financial models.
Mahin has his Master of Financial Risk Management from the University of Toronto. He received the Academic Director's Award and was on the Dean's List. Before this, he completed his education from University of Oxford and University of London in the United Kingdom, where he completed his Bachelor of Investment and Financial Risk Management.
He has published multiple articles on the importance of mitigating climate effects and preserving local waterbodies.
